Superman mythology, Smallville style - as a long-time Superman fan, I often love Smallville's take on the mythology, even though the inconsistencies drive me crazy!

Superpowers! I love it when Clark uses his powers onscreen. I even love when they imply the use of his powers, like when Clark zooms off to get Lois a cup of coffee or donut.

Saves! IMO, any episode without a quality save by or of Clark is a wasted opportunity. Lois will soon catch up to Lana as the most frequently saved person on Smallville, not counting Clark himself of course.

I love Clark because he's a bit of a geek who had to learn to control his somewhat stalkerish tendancies.

But he's also a bit of a jock who makes a natural team leader.

Such big eyes...

... and a light up the world smile!

And he manages to look even prettier somehow when he gets all bashed up.

I grieve when he grieves, which is all too often.

Things have often been tense betweeen Chloe and Clark...

... but they always were there for each other. I miss that so much this season!

Clark and Lana only had fleeting moments of happiness together...

... but passion kept bringing them back together.

Their's was supposed to be a friendship of legend...

... but the distance between them grew every year...

... thanks in no small part to Lionel's manipulations.

By contrast, the Kent's had much less in the way of material goods to offer...

... but they could always be counted for moral support...

... and homespun wisdom to help Clark cope with all the craziness in his life.

With so many of his loved ones gone and the estrangement with Chloe, Lois is an increasingly important part of Clark's life. They make a great team at work...
