These picks were particularly difficult since I've read and enjoyed thousands of fanfics. Clex is my favourite ship, I think because the relationship between the two offers such a range of options to explore. But I love my Chlark and Clois too!

I choose this one for historical reasons: it was the first one I saw that made my jaw drop to the floor at all the pretty. There are hundreds of promos out there that are as good or better, but there's something special about the first.

Favourite Episode of Each Season
S1 - Pilot (easy. one of the best ever)
S2 - Red (the hardest pick, because IMO S2 is the most consistent season with no clear standout)
S3 - Memoria (another hard pick, just because S3 has so many episodes I love)
S4 - Transference (easy. one of the best ever)
S5 - Hidden (another tough pick)
S6 - Labyrinth (the easiest pick of all - the unquestioned highlight of my least favourite season)
S7 - Apocalypse (fairly easy)
S8 - Identity (though Hex is close)
S9 - Idol (very hard - this has been a great season!)

Smallville has used over 500 songs, especially in seasons 1 and 2 before prices for song rights skyrocketed. But although the number of songs has dropped in recent years, I would argue they are used to even greater effect.
