I'm not organized enought to keep up with this meme, but we've now reached the start of Season 2, which means some of my favorite episodes. Watch out: that means tomorrow is Red! To clarify, I'd say Vortex, Heat and Red rank as amongst my favorite episodes in terms of rewatchability. I don't think S2 was the strongest season overall in terms of storytelling and drama, but it was the year that really broke ground on the mythology front. We shouldn't forget how deeply the events of this season affected Clark and made him doubt his alien heritage. Every time I hear some fanboy complaining about Clark not "going for his training", I want to scream. Why on earth should he trust that hunk of junk in the Arctic? Sheesh. It'll be interesting to see what S9 brings us in terms of mythology. Hopefully no more pointless retcons. Hey, I can dream can't I?

From Vortex:
Rewatching the tornado scene frame by frame is fascinating. Tom's performance is really intense and I love how the images kept blurring out to match what Lana was going through. Wonderful to see what the show could do back in the day with a decent budget. Sigh. As for the other picture, what can I say: the boy sure does look good in a tux!
From Heat, which spoils the Clexer in me with FIVE scenes! I used Heat a fair bit in my Clex Pretender video to show the happier days of their relationship. Here, I'll limit myself to two of the scenes...
This is from what I now call the "What About Me" scene, thanks to a picspam I saw long ago. Clark is not at ALL pleased to hear that Lex is getting married to Desiree!
And these are from the scene where Clark rescues Lex. That first heroic use of his heat vision has to rank amongst the Best FX shots ever. And at the very end, Clark is so, what is the word, when he puts out the fire covering Lex. Oh yeah, you don't even need to squint to see the Clex here.
